These leaders think they are doing their job – ensuring the culture and systems consistently deliver a great, profitable offering, while preparing the company’s strategic future story.
They lament: “I am doing my job, why can’t the sales department do its delegated job?”
True, leaders recognize selling can be challenging.
Salespeople work in a harsh emotional environment – characterized by uncertainty, rejection, radio silence, adversarial discussions.
They fail most of the time.
“But that’s why salespeople can earn the big bucks – for bringing home the profitable whales.”
